The International Imperial Court System (IICS) is one of the oldest and largest predominantly gay organizations in the world. The court raises money for charity through large annual fancy-dress costume balls in cities throughout North America and numerous smaller fundraisers each year. Although no official numbers are available the Los Angeles Times have stated that the Imperial Court System is the second largest gay organization in the world, surpassed only by the LGBT outreach program of the Metropolitan Community Church.

  • 2006 Imperial Court of New York’s renowned “Night of a Thousand Gowns” has resulted in $67,000 of donations for its charitable recipients in a single weekend.
  • Since its inception, the Imperial Court San Diego has raised at least $25 million.
  • Imperial Court chapters donate the funds raised to a variety of causes including those related to AIDS, Breast cancer, domestic abuse, and homelessness.
  • Empires have also established or contributed to a variety of scholarship. Court chapters receive frequent recognition by elected officials and celebrities for their humanitarian contributions.

OUR MISSION

The Purpose of the Court is to support the human civil rights of citizens, secured by law, and to work for the elimination of prejudice and discrimination against all people, through discussions, forums, panels, lectures, projects, and other programs, the court shall work to promote a higher quality of life and to lessen tensions within the community. By raising and distributing fund to other exempt organization, the court offers positive and athletic activities, and attractive atmosphere can be established with constructive outlets for members and the general community.

NO ONE associated with our organizations personally receives any monetary gain from any money raised at our functions. All monies go directly back into the community as outlined in our constitution and bylaws

The Imperial Court of Hawai’i was established in the year 1981 under the Founder & CEO Charmaine Lee Anderson Empress 6 of Los Angles and Empress 23 of The Imperial Court of all Hawai’i

Newly formed court broke grounds in successfully fundraising for HIV / AIDS causes which gave the initial four fundraising seed monies to the Life Foundation.

They also supported and gave sponsorships to the first Universal Show Queen Pageant.

1983 ICOH participated for 18yrs with the Aloha Week Parade. ICOH marched with other business, organizations, school bands and clubs along with other members of the community. September 11th 2001 caused the Cancellation of the event and the court has yet to return.

January 2, 1991 a revised Constitutions and By-Laws was enacted by the Imperial Court of Hawai`i to revise old bylaws and constitutions which needed to be updated with the changing of the times to better meet the needs of the organizations goals to the community of Hawai`I
